Gulli
Gulli: first choice for family entertainment in France
More than just a television channel, Gulli is a way of life! Learning, entertainment, sharing and trying new things is no longer just about watching television.
Welcome to Planet Gulli! Stimulating, hip, involved and more exciting than ever, with a fantastic schedule for 2010-2011: the third most-popular DTT channel and the seventh most-popular national channel with mothers; the leading national channel for 4- to 10-year-olds during the day2; evenings3 growing strongly among adults compared with last season (+30% share of viewing audience for evenings for ages 4 and up, +22% for 25- to 49-year-olds and +15% among households with children).*
Already the best-known children's and family channel in France (90% of households with children),** Gulli is now entering a new stage in its development.
Lagardère Active's Children and Families offering, spearheaded by Gulli alongside Canal J and TiJi, is now the leading source of children's and family programming in France, with 37% market share in this sector.*** Together, the three channels form a complementary, coherent and positive ecosystem.
However you "work as a family," Gulli always has something to offer:
- New formats, including the season's big new launch, Portrait de familles (Family Portraits), a news and society magazine programme for parents presented by Peggy Olmi.
- Game shows with a focus on team spirit. New this season is Un chef à ma porte/Mon voisin est un chef, the new cookery and family quiz show presented by Joan Faggianelli.
- Family films such as Billy Elliot and Monsieur Batignole.
- Series to share, such as Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman and Les Parents.
- Entertainment with original, exclusive new shows. After the peaceful, crazy invasion by the Gees, it's the turn of the duo Fish 'n' Chips - Omar and Fred - to get their voices heard in adventures coproduced by the channel. And let's not forget the new children's heroes Beyblade, Léonard, Les Supers Nanas and more.
Gulli is also home to plenty of familiar friendly faces, with hosts who express the values of sharing and closeness that are an essential part of the channel's DNA. Philippe Risoli is back with his cult programme Ecole des fans and Joan Faggianelli also returns with his daily quiz show, In ze Boîte. This year they are joined by Peggy Olmi, Olivier Minne and David Abiker.
There are always new ways to share the world of Gulli:
- GulliReplay, to watch your favourite programmes again.
- The website Gulli.fr, to enjoy your favourite characters, have a great time with lots more new games, try to become "the coolest family in France" and meet your friends at the Gulli Club.
- The Gulli application on smartphones, tablet PCs and Internet television.
- The fan page on Facebook and the B2B thread on Twitter.
There are plenty of other ways to take part in the Gulli experience, too, with information and entertainment through Gulli magazine (available at newsstands), dancing to the Gulli Hits CD or playing board games. And as there's more to life than television, Gulli has also created a one-of-a-kind leisure venue: Gulli Parc, which is the perfect place to get the whole family moving!
