TiJi: first choice for early learning and development
The channel has now been successfully supporting early learning and young children's development for over a decade. The first preschool channel launched in Europe, TiJi is specially designed for 3- to 6-year-olds. The brand is now well recognized by parents and has created a unique relationship with young children. With 3.5% audience share, TiJi is the third-leading youth and children's channel among viewers in the 4-10 age group.
TiJi focuses on producing a schedule of mainly interactive programmes and simple stories to support young children's learning.
- Early learning: TiJi contributes to the intellectual development of its young viewers. Interactive programmes such as Devine Quoi? (Guess What?), T'choupi et ses amis (T'choupi and Friends) and George le petit curieux (Curious George) support reflection, deduction and logic. La Météo helps increase independence, while My Little Pony builds sociability and Super Tom et les Motamots introduces young children to learning English. Sign language is addressed in Sur le bout des doigts, while raising awareness of caring for the environment with programmes such as OzieBoo helps protect the planet.
- Physical development also has its place, with programmes covering well-being, eating well, being physically active and learning about how bodies work, such as Adibou, A Table T'Choupi and more.
- Adventures are vital at an age when children are tackling their exploration of the world and their own bodies head-on. TiJi tries to help its viewers to overcome childhood fears and explore the unknown with such programmes as SamSam and Lulu Vroumette.
- Entertainment: programmes such as Peppa Pig, Toupie et Binou, Les Monsieur Madame and Yo Gabba Gabba! show that humour and music have a major part to play in TiJi's schedule. Physical expression, creative activities and nature are also essential ways for the channel to support young children's early learning and curiosity.
With its consistently playful, friendly and positive tone and refusal to be soppy or use baby language, the channel is perfectly in tune with the needs of young viewers. Thanks to its mascots TiJinou and TiJibelle, TiJi has been able to create a special relationship with its audience.
TiJi's expertise: making life easier for parents
- A flagship brand, TiJi's relationship with parents is based on trust, with zero violence, respect for the role of parents and a wide variety of high-quality content in terms of origin, form and substance.
- TiJi's ethical standards committee emphasizes the importance of raising young children's awareness of the consequences of a choice or action, addictive behaviour, the trivialization of violence, peer pressure and so on, and provides guidance on specific editorial initiatives such as programmes on road safety and tips and tricks from Toobo "Sois malin, sois poli" (Be smart, be polite).
- A tool for parents: TiJi also makes its expertise available to parents with programmes advising them on feeding their little ones and understanding child psychology such as 2mn pour mieux comprendre vos enfants (Two Minutes To Understand Your Children Better).
The schedule encourages parents to share the channel with their children, offering programmes and activities to share or watch together, such as La cuisine est un jeu d'enfant (Cooking is Child's Play).
TiJi's values comprise humour, tenderness, teaching, curiosity, closeness, imagination, interaction, dreams, landmarks and comfort. Its fun visual style and schedule packed with new programmes make TiJi the ideal channel to help little people grow up.
