One of the best-known performance spaces in Paris, the Casino de Paris has been an entertainment venue since 1891. Mistinguett, Maurice Chevalier, Joséphine Baker, Tino Rossi, and more recently Line Renaud have performed here since the dawn of the 20th century, helping to forge its reputation as one of the most prized theatres in Paris. Since then, the Casino de Paris has hosted leading French and international artists such as Serge Gainsbourg, Ben Harper, Lou Reed, Boy George, Artic Monkeys, Muse, and Coldplay. With a seating capacity of 1500 and 2000 standing places, the Casino de Paris is also a popular choice for world-class musicals including Starmania, Hairspray, The Little Prince, Chicago, and Stomp. The Casino de Paris underwent extensive refurbishment in 2008, and is now, more than ever, a leading venue for a broad community of artists and audiences.
