Travel Retail
Since 1852, Lagardère Services has been able to develop a strong understanding of the travellers' and landlords' expectations and needs. A wide range of new or well-established names adorn the shop fronts of press and bookstores dotted all over towns and cities. Sometimes these local shops also stock a limited range of convenience products.
Two well-known names that have been around for decades are Press Shop in Belgium and Naville in Switzerland.The Group tests and develops a wide range of specialised concepts as part of its constant effort to keep customers satisfied.
The Inmedio network recently made its appearance in Eastern Europe (Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia…). With its modern, progressive image, this new and rapidly expanding network increases the potential for local press distribution.

When it took over Virgin Stores in 2001, Lagardère Services became a major player in the specialised cultural leisure retail sector. The Group has expanded Virgin's operations throughout France, and has already opened more than thirty multimedia culture stores that receive more than 11 million visitors a year.

Curtis Circulation Company, North America's leading magazine distributor with a 35 per cent share in the North American market, operates a network of independent wholesalers and manages the sale of magazines for America's biggest retail chains.
